About us

Ready-mix concrete (RMC) is concrete that is manufactured in a batch plant according to each specific job requirement, then delivered to the job site "ready to use". It is a mixture of Portland or other cements, water and aggregates: sand, gravel, or crushed stone. All aggregates are of a washed type with limited amounts of fines or dirt and clay.

There are two main delivery types: barrel trucks (transit mixers), which deliver concrete in a plastic state to the site; and volumetric concrete mixers, which deliver the mix in a dry state and mix on site. Ready-mix refers to concrete specifically manufactured for customers' construction projects and supplied on site as a single product.

The industry has grown steadily since the 1960s. Batch plants combine precise amounts of gravel, sand, water and cement by weight (as per a mix design), allowing specialty mixtures to be developed and implemented on construction sites. Ready-mix is often chosen for its cost-effectiveness and wide range of uses in building — from high-rise buildings and bridges to roads and foundations.

What we do

We supply ready-mix concrete manufactured to your specifications and delivered to your project — so you get quality, consistency, and reliability without on-site batching.

Ready-mix concrete trucks, plant or delivery
  • Controlled quality

Concrete produced under controlled conditions with strict testing of materials, process parameters, and continuous monitoring. Consistent methods and equipment ensure quality that is harder to achieve with on-site mixing.

  • Speed & scale

Mechanized operations and higher output compared to typical on-site mixing. Ready-mix plants can deliver 30–60 cubic metres per hour, versus 4–5 from a small site mixer, so large pours and steady supply are easier.

  • Efficiency & sustainability

Better handling and mixing can reduce cement consumption by 10–12%. Use of admixtures and other cementitious materials helps achieve the desired grade with less cement, which also means less environmental impact.

  • Expert mix design

Mix design is specified to withstand ground conditions, exposure, and strength requirements (e.g. EN 206 in the UK). Admixtures can reduce water demand, entrain air, improve durability, or produce self-levelling concrete.

  • Delivery & placement

Concrete is transported and placed using chutes, dumpers, crane hoppers, conveyors, or pumps as needed. We work to place within the required time window so slump and mix specifications are maintained.
